“You’re stubborn because you’re a Taurus.” “You’re secretive because you’re a Scorpio.”
“You’re [place adjective here] because you’re a [place zodiac sign here.]” Some people assume they know all about a person’s life solely based on their astrology sign. Even though this assumption may be quite annoying to some, astrology signs are actually taken very seriously by some people and shouldn’t be brushed off completely.
I used to believe horoscopes were a hoax and rolled my eyes whenever the topic was brought up, but my best friend, an astrology fanatic, would argue that I didn’t even know half of what astrology culture consists of. After doing some research, I discovered that there are many deeper meanings behind the astrological chart that I was completely unaware of.
The reason why some people don’t always agree with their daily horoscope is because they only base it off of their sun sign. However, a person isn’t only one sign, but rather a combination of multiple signs.
Western astrology has been around for thousands of years and it has been discovered that the universe and planets actually affect us as human beings. When planets move throughout the zodiac, it can affect our mood and our everyday lives. For instance, the moon affects our ocean tides, while the sun and planets determine our astrology signs.
Our signs are determined by the month and date we were born in, which then identifies you as one of the 12 zodiac signs, according to the Western Zodiac. Your birthday determines your sun sign, which is what people are more familiar with.
The reason why some people don’t always agree with their daily horoscope is because they only base it off of their sun sign. However, a person isn’t only one sign, but rather a combination of multiple signs. You have your sun sign, rising sign, moon sign and signs from all the different planets. It can be a pretty complex concept once you get deep into it, but there are plenty of books, articles, YouTube videos and apps that can help you determine each of your signs and explains them all in detail.
Astrology signs shouldn’t be a reason to judge others or to justify one’s actions...
Astrology continues to be popular because people can read it for simple entertainment or genuinely treat it as a religion. Believing in horoscopes isn’t necessarily a bad thing because some people truly have faith in astrology and believe that the summaries are personally accurate to them. However, you shouldn’t change your whole lifestyle just because you think your sign tells you to. Your sign shouldn’t justify your actions and be the reason you act a certain way or treat other people.
It can be frustrating even to astrology believers to hear, “She acts that way because she’s a Gemini,” because first of all, people are multiple signs, not just their sun sign. Secondly, people shouldn’t judge others solely based on their zodiac sign because it creates an unpleasant, judgemental expectation placed on other people without getting to know them. Astrology signs shouldn’t be a reason to judge others or to justify one’s actions; they should be a pure, fun way to provide people with insight, life guidance and a general outlook on how to view oneself deep down.
